Sturdy miners, stonecutters and builders inured to long hours of toil under the crimson sun, dwarves are common on Athas. A dwarf would rather die than admit defeat. The dwarves of Athas are completely hairless and take extreme pride in that fact.

In the ruins of Kemalok pictures of dwarves from the Green Age were seen with less bulky bodies covered in massive amounts of hair.
